What are Ken's upcoming projects?

Mr. Ludwig has recently written the book for a new musical entitled An American in Paris using the music and lyrics of George and Ira Gershwin. Its first production will be at the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas beginning April 29, 2008.

An American in Paris tells the story of the making of the movie musical which ultimately starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron. In the musical, as conceived by Ludwig, MGM Studio is working on an early draft of the movie, and the current star – the legendary French musical hall performer Michel Gerard – has gone AWOL and can’t be found for the start of filming. Louis Mayer, the studio’s boss, sends his trusty Girl Friday, Miss Rebecca Klemm, to go to Paris and track down Gerard. During Miss Klemm’s journey, her entire life changes in the course of one eventful – and thrilling – week.

The musical contains many of the best-loved songs by the Gershwin brothers, including ’SWonderful, They All Laughed, Love Walked In, and Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off. The director will be Gregory Boyd.

Ken was recently asked by The Walt Disney Studio to write a new movie, and he started before the Writer's strike began. Now that the strike is over, he's back to work on the movie.
